The Library provides a wide range of resources to support the learning, teaching, and research activities.

Library Rules

  • Bags, personal belongings, and personal books must not be brought inside the library. These must be kept at the property counter.
  • The library does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property left on its premises.
  • While leaving the library, members are required to show their files, file covers, books, etc. to the Library Staff on duty at the checkpoint.
  • Eating or sleeping is not allowed in the Library.
  • Readers should observe strict silence and switch off their Mobile Phones in the Library premises.
  • Make sure you have provided the correct mobile number while filling your library membership form.
  • The IDENTITY cum LIBRARY CARD is non-transferrable. In case of loss, immediately report to the Library staff to temporarily block membership and prevent misuse.
  • A student should always carry the card while in the college library or in college. She should produce it on demand by the library staff/college staff.
  • The number of books issued to a student of Graduate classes is Four and of Post-Graduate classes is Six; the period of retention of books allowed in each case is 14 days. Fine Rs. 2/- per book per day will be charged for the late return of the books.
  • Do not write, underline, or mark any book. Library books are carefully examined on return, and the borrower will be held responsible for the damage.
  • Reference/Rare Books and Journals/Magazines are available for consultation only in the Library.
  • Loss of the book should be immediately reported to the librarian, and the matter settled by replacing the book or paying its prices within a week of the due date.
  • The damage, if any, to a book should be brought to the notice of the librarian before getting the books issued; otherwise, the person returning it will be held responsible for the damage.
  • The student will be responsible for any loss which the library may suffer due to loss or misuse of the library/ID card.
  • After reading, leave books on the table. Please do not shelve books.
  • Ask for help from library staff if you are unable to find your required material.

Our Services

User Orientation Program

User Orientation Program is organized for M.Ed, B.Ed and PG Diploma students and for Ph.D Research Scholars to acquaint them with the resources and the services offered by the library. They are familiarized with the location and use of reference books, general books, text books, magazines and journals and automated library system.

Reference Services

It provides the users with directional assistance in searching and locating library resources.

Circulation Service

The books are issued and received on all working days from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. B.Ed, PG Diploma Students having borrowing privilege of 3 books and M.Ed and Ph.D Course Work students having borrowing privilege of 4 books. Automated system of charging/discharging of books is followed.

Book Bank facility

Needy and meritorious students avail this facility. Books are provided to the users for the whole session. The total number of books in the book bank are 300.

Inter-library loan

This service facilitates users to borrow books from our library other sister institutions of Sidhwan.

Provision of e-resources

Library subscribes to e-resources through N-LIST program. Users can also access e-resources through N-LIST and NDLI.

Current Awareness Services (CAS & SDI)

This service updates the users in the academic front and new arrivals in the library.

Selective dissemination of information (SDI)

Provision of selected information on demand by the users.

Internet facility

Users make ample use of this facility. The library of the college has 6 computer terminals. Out of which one computer is used as server while 5 computers are used for searching information through internet and also for OPAC.

Reprographic facility

Library provides reprographic facility to its users for photocopying library material. This service is provided to users at no profit no loss basis.
